The Mazda CX-3's four-door design borrows some SUV and hatchback elements for a sleek exterior. It incorporates black side body garnish. For restraint and cushioning, the vehicle has two front impact airbags, two side impact airbags, and two side curtain airbags. Other standard safety features on the CX-3 include electronic vehicle stability and traction control systems for keeping you planted in your lane, a rearview camera for video monitoring when you move in reverse, hill launch assist for preventing rollback when you shift from park to drive to go up a hill, and a theft-deterrent system.

Performance

The powertrain of the Mazda CX-3 consists of a 148-horsepower 2.0-Liter 4-cylinder engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. This configuration provides a remarkable acceleration. Its peak fuel economy-at 29/34 mpg-makes it among the most fuel-efficient vehicles in its class. Front-wheel drive is standard, with the option of going with an all-wheel-drive system instead for better traction ability.

Since the CX-3 has a unibody construction, it is lighter than if it had used body-on-frame construction.
